-- The Giants' running game couldn't be better right now (5.2 ypc). Eli Manning has a lot of balance going with the passing attack. And Tiki Barber is due to score a touchdown, especially now that his brother scored two of them yesterday. The defense seems to have found its pass rush again last week at Atlanta (seven sacks). And Drew Bledsoe (just 53% on the year) appears to be a sitting duck at times. But Dallas stops the run better. And the non-mobile Manning has been sacked only one time less. Terrell Owens, with his three TD catches last week in the romp over Houston, is starting to give this offense something it didn't have before. The number that sticks out at you is the disparity in third-down defense. while the Cowboys have stopped opponents from converting at a 72% rate, the Giants are allowing 50% conversions. How significant is that? Only two NFL teams - San Francisco and Houston - are worse. That's the "hidden" stat that makes life a little easier for Bledsoe and his mates here.
