WASHINGTON at INDIANAPOLIS

-- Aside from their game against defenseless Houston, the Colts have had a hard time pulling away from the opposition, winning games by 5, 7, 3 and one point. The running game is moving enough to get by, but not by any measure imposing. Indianapolis has found itself challenged on the defensive side of the ball, yielding 5.2 yards a carry to the opposition. The Redskins can exploit that, with Clinton Portis and Ladell Betts (4.6 ypc). Washington's offensive line has done a good job not only carving out room for the run but also protecting Mark Brunell (nine sacks). And Indianapolis needs immediate production from newly-acquired Anthony McFarland with run-stuffer Corey Simon gone. Colts are allowing 46% to opponents on third-down, which means they're not stopping the run on first and second downs. That makes it easier for Brunell.
