NY JETS at JACKSONVILLE

-- For a team with so many young players, perhaps it's a bit surprising that the Jets have won two games on the road already. And in their two losses, the Jets have hung in pretty good with the Pats and Colts - who ultimately might be the two best teams in the AFC. Brian Leftwich and his Jaguars have something to say about that, and with Maurice Drew now making contributions, the ground game is more potent. But even though Reggie Williams emerging as a go-to wide receiver, Matt Jones is an iffy proposition due to injury, and for the most part, J-Ville has had a difficult time getting the ball in the end zone. New York, on the other hand, getting more than they ever expected from Chad Pennington, who is being protected well by his offensive line (with two rookies). Jags' pass rush has under-achieved (just six sacks), indicating Reggie Hayward's absence is being felt. And Pennington can spread it around now - Laveraneous Coles at the top of the list in both catches and yards, and Jerricho Kotchery becoming a big play guy (16 yds/catch, 3 TD's). Former Missouri QB Brad Smith also around for a gadget play or two. JAY'S PLAY: NY JETS
