TENNESSEE at MIAMI

TENNESSEE (+10.5) at MIAMI -- Tennessee has certainly found itself in a very tough QB situation. Billy Volek, who ultimately would have been the best thing for this offense to go with, had attitude problems in camp, was written off, then traded (to San Diego). Kerry Collins was signed deep into camp, which necessitated a scaling down of Norm Chow's playbook. And he's been ineffective (just 6 for 19 last week). On top of that, the Titans desperately want to avoid having to put the burden on unpolished Vince Young so early. So it's going to be collins, who has won just nine of his last 38 starts. The bottom line is that at this moment, there may be no quarterback prepared to lead this offense. Daunte Culpepper caught it from the boo birds last week, but at least he's thrown for over 250 yards in both games. he should find considerable room against a Titan defense that surrendered 26 first downs and nearly 500 yards to a team with a QB making his second NFL start (the Chargers and Philip Rivers). Tennessee's very penetrable defensive front, which yielded 138 yards to San Diego's backup RB, Michael Turner, also gave up 192 to Miami in last year's meeting. Can't believe stern taskmaster Nick Saban will have the Dolphins down for long. There will be some heat in Miami for the Titans to deal with, so perhaps Dolphins overcome negative trend which has seen them cover two of last 15 as home favorite.
