ARIZONA (+7) at SEATTLE -- Dennis Green may very well have put the components of a high-powered offense in place in Phoenix, where Pro Bowl receivers Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin have been joined by Edgerrin James. And Kurt Warner (301 YP, 3 TD's) can put points on the board, when healthy, that is. But the Cardinals' defense looks like it may once again be a boondoggle. In the opening week the Cards made 49er QB Alex Smith - who threw one TD with 22 turnovers last year - look like an All-Pro at times, as he led San Francisco to 288 passing and 27 points. Seattle's Matt Hasselbeck completed 25 of his 30 passes against Detroit last week, but just couldn't get it done in the red zone, with his team having to settle for field goals. That might change against this Arizona "stop" unit, which has not shown a penchant for performing on the road in recent years. The Cards allowed 18 ppg in their home environs in 2005 but gave up 30 ppg on the road. That's not isolated, either. After all, Arizona has a 10-22 ATS record away from home the last four seasons. Yes, Shaun Alexander was off the radar screen last week, and that may have something to do with the departure of All-Pro guard Steve Hutchinson. But 'Zona showed no ability to stop the Seahawks at the line of scrimmage, yielding 371 yards in two meetings last year. Seattle has some home strength, for sure, winning all ten gams there and covering eight in 2005. And keep in mind - the Seahawks know how to rush the passer. That has the potential to take the non-mobile Warner out of rhythm.
