KANSAS (+4) at TOLEDO -- Anyone who has been to the Glass Bowl can tell you it's a tough place to play - the Toledo Rockets draw more of a percentage of capacity (110%) than any other division 1-A team. Toledo has won 32 of its last 34 home games, and has recorded a 12-4 ATS record as a home favorite the last four years. Kansas' 2-0 record is rather deceiving - the Jayhawks won a 49-18 decision over Northwestern State, a Division 1-AA team with just seven seniors, then had life-and-death with Louisiana-Monroe, which missed a two-point conversion in the waning minutes. Against ULM, Kansas had four three-and-outs and two turnovers in the first half. Yes, Toledo, which was coming off a triple-overtime loss to Iowa State in the opener, hit the brick wall against Western Michigan, turning the ball over four times en route to a 31-10 defeat. But if Kansas tries to blitz Rocket QB Clint Cochran (5 sacks and 2 INT's last week), he has the ability to burn their secondary (gave up 377 yards to Monroe through the air). Cochran has a big-time outlet in tight end Chris Hopkins (17 catches, two 100-yard games) to help out in these situations, and can spread it around to WR Steve Odom and RB Jalen Parmele. Running back Joe Cornish will unquestionably be a factor, but Kansas freshman QB Kerry Meier will have a difficult road debut. Not likely Toledo will fumble and stumble its way through too many games under technically-proficient coach Tom Anstutz. And revenge is a factor as well - Kansas blasted the Rockets 63-14 two years ago, and 16 junior and senior starters on the Toledo side remember that.
