-- One has to wonder how much in the way of emotional resources Notre Dame still has left in the tank after the dramatic comeback win against UCLA last week. And the Irish have not provided much in the way of pointspread value, covering only one of their last 11 games. However, it merits consideration that ND has won 41 straight times over Navy, and this is not likely going to be the Notre Dame team that is going to drop one to the Midshipmen. Especially since Navy is in a shaky position at quarterback, with Brian Hampton out for the year and replaced by the very inexperienced Kaipo-Noa Kaheaku-Enhada, who has rushed for only 87 yards as a collegian and who played wide receiver in his senior year in high school. That makes it a difficult day for the Navy offense. We don't know how much distance ND will put between themselves and this opponent, so we're content to take the Irish on the money line and look for them to extend the streak to 43.
