NEW MEXICO STATE at NEVADA

-- QB Jeff Rowe, whose hamstring is still bothering him, is listed as questionable for this game. Even though Travis Moore filled in nicely against San Jose State (20-28, 178 yards), Rowe (67%, 10 TD, 4 INT) would be tough to replace. The Wolf Pack defense did a great job against SJSU's Adam Tafralis last week, holding him to 9-18 for 68 yards. And they present one of the biggest tests for New Mexico State's offense. Hal Mumme's squad has not beaten a Division 1-A team in almost two years. But they have managed to stay competitive, losing games by 6, 6, 8, and 12 points, and dropped a 49-30 decision to hot Hawaii last week, though they were trailing by just four points after three quarters. No straight-up win forecasted for NMSU here, but Nevada is planning a ball-control offense, which shortens the game, and Chase Holbrook (68%, 21 TD's, 2897 yards) can produce enough offense to stay within the number.
